  • Troop 14’s Charter Organization

Every Boy Scout Troop, Venture Team and Cub Scout Pack is required to have a Charter Organization. Troop 14 has been fortunate to have the Congregational United Church of Christ in Neenah, Wisconsin serve as its Charter Organization since it's inception.

The Congregational United Church of Christ of Neenah/Menasha was officially organized in 1851, although the beginning of the church can be traced back to 1846. The church was initially known as the First Congregational Church of Menasha. The church moved to several buildings in Menasha until a new church was dedicated in 1859 on the site of what is now known as St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Menasha. St. Mary’s later purchased the building and the church moved to a building on the corner of Broad and Milwaukee Streets in Menasha. The current church was built in 1967 on land donated by the Smith Family. The Congregational United Church of Christ is a ministry partner with the Wisconsin Conference United Church of Christ. In addition to sponsoring Boy Scout Troop 14, The Congregational United Church of Christ of Neenah/Menasha also sponsors Cub Scout Pack 3014. The Church also sponsors Lake Edge Preschool which is a state licensed preschool located in the church and holds classes for 2, 3, 4 & 5 year old children. The church building also houses a Montessori school. The church provides support to the Community Table, Habitat for Humanity, Leaven, One Great Hour of Sharing, Hands of Christ Deaf Ministry, CROP and mission trips, among others. Sunday School is held on Sundays at 9:00 a.m. from Labor Day through Memorial Day. The phone number is (920) 725-4873 and the website is www.cuccnm.org.
